Drugstore chain Rossmann SDP Sp. z o.o. has leased 3,600 sqm of modern warehouse and office space in the Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki distribution park near Warsaw.  AXI IMMO advised the tenant on the transaction.

Rossmann has a central distribution hub in Łódź and two regional distribution centres in Grudziądz and Pyskowice. Rossmann’s distribution hub in Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki will operate in a cross-dock model and service the market of Warsaw and the surrounding area. The company will occupy 3,480 sqm of warehouse space and 120 sqm of office space in the distribution centre in Janki.

“The distribution hub for the Warsaw agglomeration is part of our strategy of efficient logistics service for the our chain of stores, which we are expand rapidly every year. Warsaw is a key market for us. We wanted a facility that would allow van delivery within short time windows. After analysing what was available on the market, we decided on the Panattoni magazine in Janki, due to its location and the unit layout, which suits our needs well,” says Dominik Pająk from Rossmann.

“The Client was looking for a cross-dock warehouse that would ensure the efficient flow of shipping units in the warehouse and allows a large number of delivery vehicles to be serviced at the same time. The unique unit at Panattoni Park Warsaw South Janki equipped with 14 docks and 2 gates from zero level and an additional shallow surface, as per the standard of logistics facilities, allows quick handling of goods and their dispatch into smaller cars in a very short time,” adds Danuta Dzierżak from AXI IMMO.
